CURRENT SIRE: BUSTER: dob: 6/23/01: 80 lbs, B/BY, Buster is CNM & ECI CLEARED, OFA: Excellent, Eyes Clear, Elbows Normal, NAFC FC AFC Four Leaf's Ice Breaker "Buster" Qualified All-Age & won an Amateur All-Age by age three.  2007: 11 ½ Open points & his FIELD CHAMPION title & first Qualification for the National Open.  2008: AMATEUR FIELD CHAMPION title & a qualification for the 2009 National Amateur.  Buster continued his success in 2009 with 27 All-Age Points.  21 Open points (10 of them with an amateur handler) & 6 Amateur points. 'Buster and Zesty' had 2 male pups, 1 yellow and 1 black on March 27th, 2010 Both SOLD, one to Pete Hayes.

'Buster and Lady' had 11 pups: 3 b/m, 2 b/f, 2 y/m, 4 y/females on April 12th, 2010. All Sold, except one being retained by breeder, she is a black female, eic cleared vpi, Labrador Retriever of excellence.

'Buster and Sparkle had 7 pups: 1 b/m, 3 b/f, 2 y/m, 1 y/f on July 13th, 2010. 4 to 5 spoken for.

BWCA Lab's is proud to announce, with permissions, that Dave Rorem, Vickie Lamb and John Luttrell bought puppies from us in the year 2009. Pete Hayes bought one in 2010, Wayne Curtis received the pup for Pete. We feel blessed.

We have learned that, in many ways, our Labrador Retrievers are far more intelligent than we can even imagine!

Number of litters depends on our personal goals, the number of inquiries received &
the commitments made to a future Boundary Waters Labrador Pup.
(Preferably, a commitment with a non-refundable deposit -
to show us your sincere commitment to the upcoming pup.
We retain the right to refund a deposit at anytime, upon our discretion)

In Good Standing with The American Kennel Club:
My goal, as a breeder of the Labrador Retriever, is to bring pups into this world
that are greatly desired by the new owner for it's particular bloodlines: The legacy,
heritage, character, instincts and potential that these puppies have. My heartfelt motivation is:
For the love of the dog and it's owner.
We maintain a personal goal of raising each puppy as if it were our one & only.
"No man is self-made".
Fate has blessed us with a good circle of supportive family,
friends & community that simply love dogs.

  REPUTATION & ETHICS: By trade we are florists, our shop is managed well,
affording us time to be with our labradors "24/7". We were established as a serious
hobby breeding kennel of the labrador retriever in October of 1999.
To date we have had 37 litters & 274 puppies.
At times, we had up to 12 Labrador Retrievers for sire & dam potentials, (currently we own 8 Labs) to continue our bloodlines and secure our 'brood stock', a goal - By God's Grace -
that was well accomplished. We have since 'downsized' by placing adult labs
into loving homes and are hopefully settling into having one or two litters a year, one litter at a time. (update: 2008: maybe next year!)
This decision has been made due to changes in our personal life and a greater desire to spend more time
out in the field enjoying the sport of the purebred dog.
Our pups have been blessed with so many good placements, they are in loving homes with wonderful people,
who often share with us updates, photos, hunting reports & fun stories about our pups.
We are always looking forward to our next litter; another "whole litter of champions"!

  Acknowledgments:  At this time, I would like to say thank you to Mr. Joe DeLoia,
our 'Altruistic Expert' who has kept us well 'under wing'. Joe and I co-own the
AKC Registered Kennel Name "JOLOR", named after JOe & LORraine DeLoia.

We are also grateful for these beautiful Labradors 'who literally own us',
